A regular clean and a deep clean need different plans

A weekly house clean has an agreed routine. An end-of-tenancy enquiry needs a scope, a price and a confirmed handover. Put both in the diary without treating them as the same appointment: the regular customer needs their next visit kept clear, while the one-off job may still be waiting for a decision.

Knockround is cleaning business software for UK cleaners. Its public cleaning demo brings sample recurring cleans, one-off work, customer notes and payment tracking into a phone-friendly workflow. Try it with the kinds of questions you handle between properties, then start free with your own business.

Keep the scope beside the booking

A customer's name and a two-hour slot rarely tell the whole story. Record what was agreed, what changes the duration and who can confirm access. These are practical records to check in whichever system you use.

Useful details for three different cleaning bookings
BookingDetails to agreeNext action
Regular domestic cleanVisit interval, usual tasks, time allowed and customer preferences.Confirm the next visit and note any change to the usual routine.
One-off deep cleanRooms, condition, included tasks and any separately priced extras.Confirm the scope and price before reserving the work.
End-of-tenancy cleanProperty contact, agreed checklist, access handover and completion deadline.Check who can authorise changes and receive the handover.

Keep access arrangements current and share sensitive details only with the people who need them. A general job note should not become an uncontrolled list of customers' keys and entry codes.

Test a mixed day before moving your diary

Fictional planning example: a solo cleaner has a three-hour weekly visit, a two-hour fortnightly visit and an enquiry for an end-of-tenancy clean. The first two visits already use five working hours before travel, breaks or setup. The enquiry still needs a scope and its own time estimate; a blank gap on the calendar does not prove it fits.

Keep the enquiry waiting for a quote until the details are agreed. If it becomes booked work, check the whole day's capacity before confirming. Our repeat-visit planning guide includes a worksheet for balancing regular work and exceptions. Its examples are estimates to adapt to your own jobs, not recommended cleaning speeds.

What to try in the cleaning demo

  1. Find today's clean. Open the sample customer, read the job and note, and check what you would need before arriving.
  2. Follow the one-off work. Look at the jobs board and distinguish an enquiry from an accepted, booked clean.
  3. Separate completion and payment. A finished visit and money received are different events. Check both records before chasing a balance.
  4. Review a customer message. Try the prepared WhatsApp text and decide what you would change before sending it from your own number.

The public demo contains fictional customers and sends nothing to real people. It is a way to assess the screens and workflow; it is not your business account.

Check the fit for your cleaning business

Start with a normal week and one awkward exception: a cancelled regular visit, a longer first clean or a property manager changing the handover time. Tell us what needs to stay with the customer and what belongs to an individual visit. If you manage staff rotas, payroll, timed attendance or commercial inspection checklists, ask the team to confirm your requirements before switching; this page does not promise those capabilities.

Pricing is £19.99 a month or £199 a year, after 30 days free with no card. Create and share invoices, then connect your own Stripe account and complete its setup to accept card payments. Customers can use Apple Pay or Google Pay when supported by their device and Stripe Checkout. VAT invoicing and Direct Debit are not available yet.
