A round is more than a list of addresses
Window cleaning has two clocks: when a customer is due again, and when you can get to their street. A four-week customer and a six-week customer can live next door, but they will not belong on every visit together. Keep the repeat interval against the customer, then build the working day around the stops actually due.
Knockround is being built around that recurring work: a day's customers, their prices and notes, a map and a record of completed visits. The demo uses made-up customers on real Doncaster streets so you can explore the workflow before joining early access.
From the first house to the last payment
- Check who is due. Review the day's round and any access notes before setting off. A locked side gate or a customer who only wants the fronts changes how long the stop takes.
- Keep nearby work together. Look at the map alongside the stop list. Check travel, parking and the work itself; a short driving route alone does not tell you whether the day is realistic.
- Record the clean when it happens. Mark a completed visit against the right customer. Keep a skipped visit distinct from a finished one, so a change of plan does not become a false record of work.
- Check the balance separately. A clean can be complete while payment is still outstanding. Review what each customer owes before sending a reminder or recording money received.
Before filling tomorrow's list, use our free day-capacity planner to add up cleaning, total travel, breaks and a delay allowance against the hours you have available.
Keep changes clear when the day moves
Rain, a difficult access point or a job that runs over can move the rest of the round. Keep a clear record of the affected visits and confirm the new day with customers who need to know. Our guide to organising a window cleaning round explains how to handle due dates without losing track of the next cycle.
Knockround's own-phone WhatsApp flow prepares a message for you to review and send from your number. It does not send WhatsApp messages automatically. The public demo simulates customer activity and sends nothing to real customers.
What to check before moving your round
Try a normal working day in the demo. Can you find a customer's price and notes quickly? Can you distinguish the completed visits from the unpaid ones? Does the phone view make sense beside the van, and does the bigger screen help when you plan the week?
Bring a few awkward examples to your early-access conversation: mixed frequencies, a customer with an existing balance, a fortnightly clean that moves, or a one-off gutter clear alongside regular windows. Keep an export of your current records and check the opening balances before switching. Knockround offers help moving customers across; email hello@knockround.co.uk to discuss your current format.
Early access, with the limits made clear
Knockround runs in a web browser, with a public demo for iPhone, Android and computers. Planned pricing is £19.99 a month or £199 a year, with 30 days free and no card for early access. Availability and onboarding are arranged with the team.
Invoices, VAT handling, card payment links and Direct Debit are not live. Keep your existing invoicing and payment arrangements until those features are available and you have checked they fit your business. If most of your work starts with a quote rather than a repeating round, see job management for UK trades.
Tell us how your day works
Join early access and tell the Knockround team what you use today. We can discuss the workflow and moving your customer records across.
