Price every room, then get the yes
A decorating quote is rarely one number. Put each room or area on its own line with a quantity and a price, add a deposit to secure the booking if you take one, and send the quote by WhatsApp, text, email or a link. The customer taps Accept on their phone, the job moves to Booked and you get an email to say so.
A deposit shows on the quote with your bank details, so the customer can pay it by transfer before you start.

Every job sits on one board, from enquiry to quote sent, booked, done and paid, with the day's planner and each customer's details beside it. A job that's waiting on a colour choice stays where it is until the customer decides, and nothing quietly drops off. Paid by card when the last coat is dry
Send the invoice by WhatsApp in one tap, by text or email, or show the QR code on your phone. Your customer pays by Apple Pay, Google Pay or card, it marks itself paid, and Stripe pays it into your bank. Stripe's fee is 1.5% + 20p for a standard UK card and Knockround adds nothing on top. Bank transfers still work: your bank details and a payment reference go on every invoice. How card payments work.

One quote, changed and accepted the same day
A made-up example: a decorator quotes a three-bedroom house as six lines: three bedrooms, the hall and landing, the woodwork and the front door. The customer asks to leave out the front door, so the quote goes back with five lines and is accepted that evening. The job moves to Booked with a deposit to pay by transfer, and the final invoice goes by WhatsApp on the last day.
