If you do fewer than 30 jobs a month on your own, ServiceM8's free plan costs less. If you're busier than that, or the same customers come back on a round, Knockround usually costs less and keeps it simple.

When ServiceM8 is the better choice
- You do fewer than 30 jobs a month on your own. The free plan covers that.
- You have a big team and fewer, bigger jobs. Paid plans include unlimited users, so the price follows the jobs, not the people.
- You want texts sent for you. Paid plans include a bundle of branded texts each month. Knockround opens each message in your own WhatsApp or texts for you to send.
- You want job costing and add-ons. ServiceM8 lists job costing, markup and add-ons such as its own phone system. Knockround keeps to quotes, jobs, rounds and getting paid, and doesn't do VAT invoicing yet.
When Knockround is the better choice
- You do a lot of small jobs. Window cleaners, cleaners, gardeners and anyone on a round can pass 150 visits a month easily. Knockround is £19.99 however many there are.
- The same customers come back. Each customer returns at their own interval, from weekly to once a year, with a confirm-or-skip message the night before from your own number.
- You want paying on the doorstep. Every invoice has a Pay button for Apple Pay, Google Pay or card, by link or a QR code on your phone, and Knockround adds nothing to Stripe's fee. How it works.
- You run a round. Price rises by % or £ for everyone or one area, bank transfers matched from your statement, and what the round is worth a year.

Do I need a card reader with Knockround?
No. Your customer pays on their own phone, from the invoice link or by scanning the QR code on yours.
