Download the price list
One A4 page: your services, what each one includes, how often or how long, and the price, with your area, minimum charge and how customers pay. Free, no signup, yours to change.
- Word (.docx): type over the brackets, then print it, send it as a PDF or screenshot it for WhatsApp and Facebook.
- Excel (.xlsx): keep your prices in one place and change them in one go next year.
- PDF to print: fill it in by hand for the van or the shop counter.
Why publish your prices
For work that's the same each time, like a window clean, an oven clean, a dog groom or a gutter clear, a price list answers the first question before it's asked. Customers who message you already know roughly what it costs, so fewer enquiries go nowhere and you spend less time quoting.
- Say what's included. "Fronts and backs, frames and sills" stops the argument about the conservatory roof.
- Use "from" honestly. If the price depends on size, give the smallest job's price and say what makes it more.
- Say whether VAT is included. If you're not VAT registered, say "No VAT to add".
- Date it. "Prices valid from" makes next year's rise easier to explain.
A made-up example
A window cleaner's list. The prices are invented to show the layout, not a guide to what to charge:
| Service | What's included | How often | Price |
|---|---|---|---|
| 2 or 3-bed terrace | Fronts and backs, frames and sills | Every 4 weeks | from £15 |
| 4-bed detached | Fronts and backs, frames and sills | Every 4 weeks | from £25 |
| Conservatory roof | Glass and frames, by pole | One-off | from £40 |
| Gutter clear | All gutters, debris bagged and taken away | One-off | from £60 |
Not sure what to charge? How to price a job works it out from your costs, and the markup calculator does the sum.
When prices go up
Change the list, change the "valid from" date, and tell your regular customers before the new price applies. The price increase letter guide has the messages and works out how much you need to go up by.
Prices per customer in Knockround
Knockround keeps each regular customer's own price and how often you visit, so the round and the invoices match the list. When prices go up, it raises them by a percentage or a set amount, for everyone or for one area, and each invoice goes out with a Pay button for Apple Pay, Google Pay or card. Try it on the window round demo with made-up customers. It's free for 7 days with no card needed, then £19.99 a month.
