Software for carpenters and joiners
Quotes with a line for each part of the job and a deposit for made-to-measure work, every job on one board, and payment by Apple Pay, Google Pay or card.
7 days free with no card needed, then £19.99 a month or £199 a year. No contract. See pricing.
Quotes that show the work
Carpentry and joinery jobs are mostly quoted: fitted wardrobes, a new staircase, internal doors, skirting and architrave, a garden room. Build the quote on your phone with each part of the job as its own line, materials apart from labour, and add a deposit if you take one. Send it by WhatsApp, text, email or a link. The customer taps Accept, the job moves to Booked and you get an email to say so.
Not sure what to charge? The day rate calculator works out the rate you need and the pricing guide turns it into a price.
Every job on one board
A joiner can have a wardrobe being made, a door hanging booked for Friday and three quotes waiting for an answer. Each job sits on one board, from enquiry to quote sent, booked, done and paid, with its own next step, so the small jobs don't bury the big ones. Try it on the jobs board demo, with made-up customers.
| Job | Details to note | Next step |
|---|---|---|
| Made to measure | Measurements, the timber or board, finish and handles agreed. | Take the deposit before you order or cut. |
| Doors, floors and trim | How many, the sizes, who supplies the doors or boards. | Confirm the date and what's included. |
| Repairs and odd jobs | The problem as described, the address, access and who's in. | Invoice when it's finished. |
Deposits for made-to-measure work
When you're buying timber or board for one customer's wardrobe or staircase, a deposit means you're not out of pocket if they change their mind. Put it on the quote with what it covers. Homeowners usually have 14 days to cancel a job agreed at their home or by phone, email or WhatsApp, but goods made to their own specification are an exception. The deposit guide explains the rules.
Paid when the job's signed off
When the work's done, show the QR code on your phone or send the invoice by WhatsApp in one tap. The customer pays by Apple Pay, Google Pay or card on their own phone, it marks itself paid, and Stripe pays it into your bank. Stripe's fee is 1.5% + 20p for a standard UK card and Knockround adds nothing on top. How card payments work.

Questions carpenters and joiners ask
Can a customer pay a deposit by bank transfer?
Yes. Add a deposit to the quote and it shows with your bank details, so the customer can pay it by transfer to secure the booking.
Do I need a card reader?
No. Customers pay on their own phone, from the invoice link or by scanning the QR code on yours.
Can I bring my customer list across?
Yes. Import it from Excel or CSV, up to 2,000 rows at a time, or email us your export and we'll help free.
